We have heard this term for so long is it still relevant? Wait, what about IRM?

We have been hearing “GRC” which stands for Governance Risk and Compliance (some would argue that it stands for Governance Risk and Controls), ever since it was first mentioned in a research work by Forrester in 2002. Lately Gartner came up with the concept of IRM which stands for “Integrated Risk Management” stating that GRC is outdated and is now evolving/evolved into IRM.

Gartner’s New Focus on IRM

These terminologies and jargon sounds good to hear but what it all means to someone who works on these applications everyday. To the ultimate user who are mostly department leaders, senior management, risk officers & managers, compliance personnel and auditors all that matters is to have an effective solution that helps them to have visibility over their work, collaborate with different stakeholders hassle free and central platform to manage all their efforts. We designed ClearGRC with a vision to provide a practical solution to manage an organization’s Governance, Risk and Compliance efforts of an organization. We took an Integrated approach to GRC in developing the ClearGRC. The approach is to integrate different capabilities (people, process and technology) that work towards achieving conformity and compliance in the process of conducting business with caution and creating value for stakeholders.
